What’s Kou Tea?

Kou Tea is a unique blend of 4 of the best teas – green tea, Oolong tea, Pu Erh tea and white tea – which are proven to help boost metabolism, improve fat burning and in addition offer many health benefits. Oolong tea, for example,  helps to lower insulin spikes that occur after eating carbs.

L-theanine, an amino acid,  found in KouTea, helps with the  production of the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin. These help you relax and can improve sleep patterns. (Stress and lack of sleep have been linked with heart disease, diabetes and obesity).

Kou Tea also contains a rich source of minerals including Magnesium, Calcium, Copper, Potassium, Phosphorus and Manganese, Vitamins A, B1, C, E, K, P and Folic Acid as well as detoxifying alkaloids such as Theine, Theobromine and Theophyline. These ingredients are beneficial to the human heart and bone development as well as offering many other health benefits to the body.

Kou Tea also works as an anti-carcinogen. The ingredients help to destroy free radicals found within the cells that could lead to the development of cancer.

KouTea Cup

  1. Boil some water and allow it to cool slightly to around 75-80 degrees celcius. You don’t want boiling water as this will destroy some of the beneficial nutrients in the tea and will also affect the taste.
  2. Add a KouTea bag to a cup of water.
  3. Allow the tea bag to steep in the cup for 3-4 minutes. Remove when the tea is a warm gold colour.
  4. The tea is now ready to drink.
  5. You can add honey or lemon for flavouring.
  6. You can re-use the tea bag for a second time. (Allow the teabag to completely dry before storing.)

There are many types of teas available on the market that are called ‘Dieting Tea’. However, usually, these are packs of single leaf tea, e.g. bags of Oolong Tea, or bags of Pu Erh Tea. Where KouTea is different is that the manufacturers have taken a selection of the best diet teas available and combined them into a single blend.

The result is an excellent tasting tea, but also one that offers a large range of health and diet benefits.

Not only that, but price wise, the tea is very competively priced. Yes, it is more expensive than black tea bought from the local supermarket – but diet teas are not common supermarket tea. Diet teas are more expensive.

However, with KouTea it’s possible to buy in bulk and really reduce the price a lot!
